  • NO WHEAT - Wheat is a commonly known allergen and contains gluten and histamine.
  • NO CORN - Corn is a poor source of reliable nutrition when compared to other food sources for the same nutrients. Because of the amount of starch and natural sugars found in corn, the nutritional advantage is low. It also contains histamine.
  • NO SOY - Soy is a commonly known allergen. In addition it is also know as a phyto-estrogen and can contribute to an imbalance of hormonal activity.
  • NO PEANUTS - Peanuts are a commonly known allergen and are susceptible to an overgrowth of aflatoxins.
  • NO MSG - MSG has been found to add to food sensitivities and can cause such syndromes as rashes, hives and extreme itching as well as other disorders. It is commonly found in processed foods and maltodextrin.
  • NO PELLETS - Pellets are made by some kind of extrusion process. Whether processed with heat or by a cold extrusion process, because the ingredients must be ground to a powder, many nutrients are lost. The only way to obtain the lost nutrients to any degree is to add them back in by using synthetic laboratory-produced sources. The balanced bio availability of synthetic nutrients is now being questioned by scientists. Pellets are considered a "processed" food.
  • NO GMO's - GMO is the acronym for "genetically modified organism:. In their attempt to produce crops that are pest and disease resistant science has found a way to alter or splice the original DNA. This is most commonly use in corn and soy, but is quickly advancing and is now being used in canolla as well. The labeling of foods that are GMO has not been strictly enforced as of yet.
  • Extremely low metal count - any bird food will contain some measurable amount of metal in their foods because of the equipment they use to manufacture their foods.
