They do!
And they never even touch your products or your shipment, because they have your items "drop-shipped" from the manufacturer!
But not us!
We DON'T make a personal profit,
but we DO make the food, toys and free gifts!
(The owners of BirD-elicious! live off of their own, private, single, income,
completely unrelated to anything avian.
And yet, the owners work over 16 hours a day, 7 days a week,
for the benefit of avian welfare, making, packaging and shipping BD! products.
HONESTLY!
IF we make a 10% profit,
we consider ourselves blessed.
And even then, all profits go directly the 501c3, non-profit, avian rescues and sanctuaries who are members in our Passion's Tree Of Life Foundation.
Wouldn't you rather see your hard-earned money supporting avian welfare,
rather than making a company's bank account grow???
This is why almost all of our retailers are certified 501c3 avian non-profit organizations,
so THEY make the buck!
Then they can keep doing what they do best,
caring for relinquished birds.
And we can keep doing what we do best,
make the BEST bird food and toys on the market!
We have no problem with people and companies operating a business for profit.
We LOVE our retail affiliates!
They help us spread the word about BD! so we can support avian rescue.
But think about this for a moment...
We are the formulators/developers of BirD-elicious!
We are the people who pays for the laboratory testing of BD!
(Up to $10,000.00 to $20,000.00 per formula).
We are the people who makes BD!
We are the company who pays for the packaging and then packages BD!
We are the people who packages your shipment, and then ships BD!
(Our retail affiliates, never touch your package.)
Yes, it is TRUE. The owners work over 16 hours a day
soley and purely for the benefit of avian welfare organizations.
Yet...
We, the owners of PTH/BirD-elicious!, do not make a dime!
Lately, we have received countless complaints about the cost of our foods and the cost of our shipping.
We have promised to reduce the price of our products, while ALL of our ingredient costs and packaging costs are rising in 2008.
Unfortunately, that means less funding for avian welfare.
And yet we are offering discounts on your purchases, placing items on sale and we offer a wide variety of shipping options to help lower the cost of your order.
But is it really worth us staying in business, for all of the hard, volunteer-based laborious work we put into each detail of all of our many one-of-kind, hand-made, products, not to mention the FREE gifts?
We believe so.
But how nice it would be to do what we do and receive compliments instead of petty complaints about the length of time it takes to ship food and the cost of Priority shipping to insure quicker delivery of such fresh food!
